Windows Vista Home Premium
I see Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 in various online stores. The SP1 is typically $90 more. Can't you just buy the Windows Vista Home Premium and download SP1 for free?
I'm gearing up for different OS's on my new computer, and am considering Windows Home Premium 32bit version. For gaming, is there a need to buy 64bit now or near future?

Re: Windows Vista Home Premium
get 64 bit if you want your OS to be able to allow you use of more than 3 GB RAM. definitely the better way to go. 64 is very stable now

Re: Windows Vista Home Premium
Wow. I'm so impressed with the ease, speed, and stability so far in setting up hardware, utilities, and some small programs thus far on Vista. Everything is being recognized correctly. I have only one sort of unstable occurrence. When shutting down, the HP photosmart solution center errors out. It probably helps that I had such low expectations for Vista.
