Yeah, hate to see all these brands being dumped. Hummer (well, I'm OK with that one), Pontiac, Saturn, Mercury. Surely not a good sign but a necessary evil I suppose. The only one I really care about is Pontiac, being that I am a present owner of one, and have owned 4 others in the past. Now, GM just needs to dump GMC and Chevy can pick up the slack on the truck business and Ford can finally shut up about having the #1 truck sales for the last 500 years.

GMC trucks are better than Chevy trucks so I don't see that happening. They could brand the GMC trucks as Chevys I suppose and call them the "SE" models or whatever if they need to save money by dumping a brand. I have a few friends that have GMCs and they say that everything about them is a step above a Chevy in quality.
