I had the WRT54GL as well, but it fell off my desk and never worked again. Went out and got the E2000 from Cisco (Linksys) and I am in love with this thing.
It is 10/100/1000, selected 2.4 or 5 ghz bands, is quick as hell and easy to set up.
If your router goes I would HIGHLY recommend this unit.
