ok so i got this new puter, it has two front usb ports.
I have a gravis gamepad pro.

when i plugged it in it found it. but it tells me to assign it a new port that that one is being used.

wtf is wrong with the dumb usb ports.
I wanna play nfs hotpursuit 2 and the usb ports are giving me a hard time.

I have windows xp pro

any suggestions ?

nm i plugged in back and now it works

chances are whoever put your box together did something funky with the usb headers going to your front ports. and this is why I build my own :D I have 14 usb ports in my box... 4 in front, 2 on the motherboard, 4 in back, and 4 usb2.0 slots as well. hehe

i have an MSI... K7TPRO2 RU or somethin' like that. the deal is, I have the 2 on the mobo with the rest of my keyboard/printer/etc ports, and 3 headers lying around for more ports. 2 for usb1 connections and 1 for usb2 connections. so one header feeds the 4 on the front, one feeds 4 in one of my empty slots, and the 2.0 header feeds my 4 ports of those in another empty slot.

I have 14. 2 on the mobo; 2 expanded in a slot; 4 in each ear; 3 in my nose; 2 in my lip and 1 in my tongue (helps cunnalingus) :laugh:

AV being bored and goofy...again. ;)
