So, here's the jist.... you log into a server running KotS... it connects to a global database server and finds out who you are. Once it finds you, your stats are downloaded and you can begin playing.
Yeah, that's right... your stats. It's an online RPG-style game, RPG in the broad sense of "character development". It's deathmatch, but you earn credits for frags. Earn credits and get enough kills, and you can levelup and acquire new skills & attributes.
Weird eh? Well the public beta was just released so you may actually see some servers running this. Sounds like a really interesting concept... if nothing else because they're doing something to a game that is just wrong on so many levels. hehehe. Still, it's a nice start to the type of MMOFPS I personally would love to see out there at some point.
