Going off a tip I got from my godfather, who is former owner of the hardware store I used to work at and current president of the National Retail Hardware Association, I went in today to a local software company to see what they had for jobs.

As I walked in the door, there was this guying walking towards me from the hallway. He asked if I needed some help and I told him I wished to speak with someone in HR about any jobs. Turned out he was the head of the HR dept!!! He sat me down and we talked. The company is having a lot of success right now and they are in fact hiring. He drilled me even some technical aspects...how many layers are in the OSI model, whats the differnece between a switch and hub, etc.

So, this Tuesday morning, I am going in for a performance evaluation along with 8 other candidates to see if I am feasible for one of their positions. The guy said I seemed like a very good candidate as I left. If all goes well I could possibly be working by the 5th of january!! WOOOFUCKING HOOOO!!!!!

You have no idea how excited I was when I left that place. FINALLY something is panning out for me!!! I hope to god I don't fuck up the eval and blow this chance!!!

And stuffit, if your still interested in what we talked about let me know. I havent heard from you in a while concerning it so I thought maybe it got pushed aside for a while or something. I am still interested though. The only drawback may be that if I do get this job, I could be seeing up to 65% travel time so I am not sure how that might interfere.

WOoWOOo!!! Just got home from my evaluation and things are lookin rosey!!! I had to partake in about an hour and a half of apptitude tests that I did pretty kick ass on, except for the mathematical story problems...the first three sections were like pattern following and you had to choose what would come next. Anyway, after that I met with the head of HR and he said he thought I would be a good fit to the company. I am going back in tomorrow for another round of interviews!!!!

Man I am soOOOO excited!!! This place has really knock out benefits and its a purely casual work environment...tshirts and jeans and even shorts in the summer! They have seen extreme growth every year since their inception back in the mid 80's and are building a brand new facility in the spring. I cant wait to see how things work out!!!
