CDSaint
05-24-2005, 07:45 PM
the Orioles! lol the kids all thought in the beginning that they were in the best team cause they figured they were named after the cookie. LOL Oreos! yay team! ;) after the season is over for everyone the kids will be playing against the parents. lol DJ told his coach that im a really good hitter, that he thinks i shouldnt be allowed to play. isnt that cute? lol the coach told him that they are going to make the parents hit lefty to make sure the kids win against us. Oh we got the pics for the team photo and since K was an assistant coach we got two sets of the team photos. My baby looks like a big kid in the pics(DJ) not K :P lol. It was so cute DJ coming up to his coach and saying thank you for making the game fun for him. and i didnt even have to tell him what to say. I think this is a game that DJ will continue playing and im just really proud of how well he did considering he has never played baseball, and he didnt show much interest in baseball before like i do, it was the little girl that was chanting for the mariners with me last season anytime we watched on tv. ;)

Vyper

I agree with CD. Children can be the most amazing creatures on earth. Just the things they come up with is astounding. Like yesterday I was at there school for some kind of "Math Day" thing, where you bring th kids to school and they do a bunch of math games.

Anyway my 9 year old son started to build a bar graph. On it he had data with "Swords", "Spears" and "Lightsabers" (damn SW) and the name of his graph was "Melee Weapons". I asked him, "What is a Melee weapon Joshua?"

"Daddy, it is a weapon that you use in hand to hand combat, everyone knows that!"

I honestly was floored by it. I guess I never realised that he would know something like that.

Then of course there are other days like this morning.

"Kaitlynne get your shoes on."
"I am"
"The bus is coming!"
"I know"
"Why don't I see your shoes on?"
"I want a different pair of socks"
"Why?"
"I dont know"
"The BUS IS COMING!"
"I need socks!"
"THE BUS IS COMING, YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE!"
"But I cant find socks!"

arghhhhhhhhh! Just wear the damn socks girl!

Mozartt

LOL None for me unless I meet the perfect women. :) Plus I'm not sure if I really want kids. No offense to people who have kids, I do enjoy playing with my friend's kids but I sometimes see myself as still being a kid. <insert old folk joke here> Plus teaching kids how to do shoots is not being a good parnet. :(

CDSaint
05-26-2005, 10:28 AM
well see now i know why you arent getting settled down Moz...its because you are looking for the perfect WOMEN, not a singular woman.

CDSaint
05-26-2005, 10:34 AM
my 6 y/o amazes me with what he has been learning in Kinder. They learned how to make particle board, and knows everything about the process of absorption, how to make paper, and he knows the meaning of camouflage, something that K's 9 y/o does not know anything about. We spent one morning last week trying to get him to learn what camouflage means. Dont 3rd graders come across that word yet? I think my son is a better sponge...although i think its going to bite me in the ass later on cause he is already starting to correct me, when i make a mistake. the little smart butt. :)

Bluehen
05-26-2005, 10:39 AM
perfect WOMEN

Holy Oxymoron, batman.

CDSaint

Bluehen

I met the perfect woman once. Then, sadly, my airpump broke and I havent been able to find the correct nozzle size since.

Vyper
05-26-2005, 05:29 PM
The perfect woman is an oxymoron. A good woman is sometimes hard to find however.

Mozartt
05-26-2005, 05:30 PM
Oops, I didn't mean it that way because looking for the perfect women is like looking for the perfect man. :D They don't exist. Like bigfoot and fat free food products.

Vyper
05-26-2005, 05:32 PM

Mozartt
05-29-2005, 09:35 AM
I saw the band on VH1 and they claim it was a common cooking pot. Now if that's the case, that's a very dumb song. I believe someone is not telling the truth.

Zooommmmm, Zooommmmmm

Vyper
05-29-2005, 09:27 PM
Well if it was a Dutchie it might be referring to a dutch oven. LOL

CDSaint
05-30-2005, 12:41 AM
cooking POT maybe, not the kind you use to cook food with!

Mozartt
05-30-2005, 09:21 AM

Mozartt
05-30-2005, 04:51 PM
And I'm amazed he can pass her around....she's the type of women that makes me think being gay may not be a bad plan. :(

CDSaint

CDSaint
05-30-2005, 05:30 PM

Mozartt
05-30-2005, 06:31 PM

CDSaint
05-30-2005, 07:51 PM

Vyper
05-31-2005, 01:43 AM
I guess I'm glad I don't watch much TV then. :P

Mozartt
05-31-2005, 05:38 AM
No, I'm not a fan of his work. :) I need to stop watching so much TV, I need a device to block channels so they don't piss me off. :D

CDSaint
05-31-2005, 02:29 PM
we just set our dvr to record our favorite shows and watch them when we remember they've been recorded. otherwise nothing is ever really good to watch on tv anymore!

Mozartt
05-31-2005, 03:12 PM
Is that a hard drive recorder or one that records to DVD?

CDSaint
05-31-2005, 03:26 PM
a hard drive recorder attached to the dish receiver

Mozartt
05-31-2005, 04:34 PM
Sweet, you're the only other person besides me who actually has a hard drive recorder. I love mine, got it at Walmart for $280.

CDSaint
05-31-2005, 06:29 PM
OMG! you spent money on that thing? holy shiat! ours is "free". we can record two shows at the same time if we like and it also does picture in picture. We can keep the equipment and use it where ever we move to as long as we have their service and we arent in a contract with them. we pay 67.81 and that includes all taxes and service fees.

Mozartt
05-31-2005, 07:02 PM
So you don't pay a monthly fee? The only thing down here in the south that even comes close is Tivo and I'm not spending the money that POS.

CDSaint
05-31-2005, 07:19 PM
that is what we pay for the having the dish network and no other fees for having the equipment. we have one dvr that records and 3 other receivers in the house. one in the kids' room, one on our room, one in my fil's room. dvr is in livingroom

Mozartt
06-01-2005, 09:06 AM
Nice, but it's only me in the house so I don't really have the problem of not getting to watch TV when I want to. Currently on cable TV not dish yet.

CDSaint
06-01-2005, 10:31 AM
we were paying almost 100 a month for digital cable 5 years ago, we had two receivers, livingroom and bedroom. that was when we lived in a two bedroom apt. then K left to go away for 6 mos and i got rid of them and stuck to normal cable, eventually leading up to the dishnetwork when we bought the house cause we got more channels with it and paid less than cable.

Mozartt
06-01-2005, 03:20 PM
I want the NFL season ticket but I'm not sure I can justifiy the change over. How does you system work during the really bad rain, snow and ice?

CDSaint
06-01-2005, 04:54 PM
we had only one problem where there was nothing but blue screen, made a call and they rebooted the system at their end and it didnt take but 10 min max to get everything up and running again. we had particularly high winds that night, but it wasnt at our end for the blue screen, it was at theirs
