I guess this should have been stated earlier but hindsight is, as always, 20/20.

I created this guild so I could play a game I enjoyed with my friends and so that we could be recognized as a group, hence the guild. This guild was never meant to be competitive. If we, as a group, get good enough at some point to compete and do well, fine and good. If, however, we don't it wont bother me in the least because I never intended to be on that track in the first place.

If you like playing and meeting new folks and want to hang out with them and be identified with that group then this may be your guild. If, however, your looking for a highly competitive Guild, particularly, at the PVP 20th level player game then this one isn't for you.

I agree with you Vyper, I don't want this to be a lvl20 ladder humping guild as well. I don't have the time or the energy for that much online practice. http://www.asturcon3.com/emicons/druge7pz.gif

CDSaint
06-08-2005, 05:43 PM
this is the reason why im in the guild. i suck too much at any game that isnt like tekken to do well in a competitive level. so i guess you guys are still stuck with me ;) :P lol i think my character should be named Ms. Direction for obvious reasons.

Mozartt
06-08-2005, 06:30 PM
Actually I like that name, you should use it. Maybe I could use Mr Baiter!!!!! I don't the censors at GW would notice.

Vyper
06-08-2005, 08:29 PM
LOL you two! Sounds good to me for both of you. Ms Direction - Illusionist style Mesmer.

CDSaint
06-09-2005, 01:34 AM
hey i kind of like that idea for a new character Vyper! thanks for the great idea! lol ;) and Mozzy dont you mean the new character should be named Master Baytor? hehehe :P

Mozartt
06-09-2005, 10:53 AM

CDSaint
06-09-2005, 02:00 PM
it could have still been worse. i could have tried to pass off the name Dickens Syder for it. but i didnt want us to get banned from the servers. :P

Mozartt
06-09-2005, 05:29 PM
I'm not sure what I'm going to use for a pet name. LOL Maybe Peavey, kind of fits the theme. :D

CDSaint

TinMan[CS]
06-09-2005, 08:08 PM
Yay! I accepted last nite! Thanks for the invite Vyp! :D

You guys are so right about wanting a relaxed atmosphere. Once you start playing on the ladders, it sometimes becomes a matter of "having" to play and not always "wanting". I don't have to make time to play, I just sit down when I feel like it and dive in...no obligations.

CDSaint
06-09-2005, 08:16 PM

I give Bernie a few more weeks and he'll have GW, hopefullly he won't have a female character named Bernie. :( I don't won't to see Bernie shaking his money maker.

Thanks Everyone! I'm really happy to be part of the gang! I had a great time as well. I've never really played a game like this in a team format that didn't consist of NPCs. With the exception of my trip to the mat in the first minute outside the Ascalon walls (lmao-dunno what happened there) we kicked butt and took names...but at our own pace. It was a nice change compared to what I'm used to. :D

We just need to get a leash for Moz, so we can keep him close. :) Me and Vyp's rummaging through goodies left by baddies what often broken up by the sounds of Moz kicking the crap out of something. :P

CDSaint

Vyper

i meant i took the weekend off from the pc. it was a hectic weekend that started really last monday. we celebrated K's bday on friday with a bbq and we cooked a lot of food. saturday and sunday kept me off the pc cause we were doing errands then sunday it took us all day to get home from the airport cause there was traffic in seattle and just before our exit. so most of that was spent on the road away from home. then we watched batman. after that we went home had dinner and i was so exhausted that i fell asleep on the couch and didnt get out of it til after 11 or so just so i can move to my comfy bed. today is basicly my monday and im taking it easy, just doing some light laundry.

Mozartt
07-05-2005, 03:49 PM
It's nice to get away from the computers. This week I'm at home working around the house and NOT answering my work phone. I love computers but sometimes I get so sick of fixing them. Had a really great night last night with the guild, it was Best, Tinny, Vyper and myself running around in the snow whacking the crap of stuff. Even Yar stopped by and said hello. Was that the new batman movie? I heard it was very good. Very dark. I'm thinking of going to see the Fantastic Four while I'm vacation. It's been ages since I've seen a movie outside of the house.

CDSaint
07-05-2005, 04:00 PM
yeah batman was good. best looking batman i would have to say. although christian bale has an annoying lisp and is detectable when he speaks

Mozartt

LOL Batman with a lisp, what else has Christian Bale been in? I don't believe I've ever seen him on TV.

CDSaint
07-05-2005, 06:25 PM
he played a psycho killer and his first movie was about the war (Japan) for the life of me i cant remember the title right now. it was directed by steven spielberg i believe...shit!

CDSaint
07-05-2005, 06:26 PM
he was also in that movie called the Machinist where he lost so much fucking weight for that movie. i think he dropped all the way to 100 lbs for that character.

Mozartt
07-05-2005, 10:13 PM
The movie you're thinking about is "Empire of the Sun", I watched about 20 minutes and got bored with it. I didn't even realize he was in it but then again he was a very young boy when that movie was made. I've never even heard of the Machinist, where did you see it?

CDSaint
07-05-2005, 11:42 PM

Pallidrone
07-06-2005, 08:44 AM
Christian Bale is a good actor. He has played a lot of different roles throughout his career.

He was in Newsies, Swing Kids, Reign of Fire, American Psycho, Empire of the Sun, The Machinist, and Captain Corelli's Mandolin.

He was very good in Batman Begins. I really thought this was the best Batman to date. Very dark and serious, which the brought the comic to life. I really hope they do another one with a really dark joker. It is going to be hard to top Jack as the Joker, but if they make him kind of like how the comic book was, it will rock.

Mozartt
07-06-2005, 09:46 AM
You mean they didn't make the Adam West batmen in this movie? Oh the horror!!!! LOL Just kidding, I'm glad they have decided to finally go with a darker batman. How was the bad guy in the movie? Was he just as dark?

CDSaint
07-06-2005, 10:36 AM
ive never seen the prequels of the star wars series but to have Liam Neeson play the enemy is really not believable. I kept expecting him to say something like the force is with you to batman's face. :\ and off all the movies palli mentioned i would have to say that i have seen a majority of those movies of CB but the only one that was good or made an impression for me was Empire of the Sun,everything else was crap. Come on Newsies for crying out loud? He sang and danced HORRIBLY in that! :P

Pallidrone
07-06-2005, 11:08 AM
I was not a big fan of Newsies, but I really did like Swing Kids. It was an interesting take on Nazi Germany.

You didnt like Reign of Fire?

Mozartt
07-06-2005, 01:32 PM
Liam Neeson was great in the prequels but he didn't last long, died at the end of the first movie. I can't believe I missed Reign of Fire, you think HBO would be running it into the ground by now.

Well, between the movie or your second option, I'd take option two. You can always go to the movie another time.

Mozartt
07-07-2005, 10:38 AM
You can always do both of them at the same time, that's always fun. If you go Vyper, let me know if it's any good.

Bluehen
07-07-2005, 10:41 AM
Yes, both is always an option at the same time. However, as the movie is opening this weekend it may be quite crowded. Thus, both at the same time would garner bonus points IMO.

Desk??? I'm not sure what you're reffering to. :D You know my "desk" at home takes up half the room.....if you know what I mean. http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/otn/funny/naughty.gif

No, ash. Just like what type of baseball bat I use. Nice and strong wood.

There's always room on my desk but it seems that Henny has a much harder desk that me. What was the subject of this post again? I think it's turning sexual!!!

hmm interesting.....

My desk is made from the finest willow trees around. I am just glad that my desk has been able to stay solid over the years. It really stinks when you have fine, beautiful desk, and then the next thing you know it becomes infested with termites.

It starts to rot away at the core, little scars from the infestation start to develop, and nobody cares anymore. You try to show off your desk, but it just becomes an ugly shriveled version of it's original self.

The moral of the story is to always protect your desk. You never know if it may be the only one you may ever have.....

Yes, a termite infestation is a very bad thing. I haven't seen a spam email yet that would help with that.

Always protect your desk - and you don't even need to get something with mouse ears for that.

ROFl. I had a large steel desk for awhile. It was very nice. If i could have moved it into the basement I think I'd still have it. Unfortunately it wouldn't fit. It was a very sturdy desk.

Excuses excuses. :P Although in the month of August if you see me post much at all it'll be a miracle. Its gonna be soooo busy and I'll be on vacation too. Far from most computers. Only the local library has one. My laptop doesn't have satillite wireless and nothing less would work were I'm going.

If I'm going away for vacation the computer doesn't come, that's rule number one. :D Is August a busy month for you at work? If so how come?

No work isn't busy but my new kitchen cabinets are near completion and that means ripping out the old ones, doing a bunch of plumbing and painting before the new ones go in. :P

i hate my kitchen cabinets. I dont mind my counter tops but the cabinets are falling apart at the seams it seems like. its got that cabin in the woods type of feel to it along with country bumpkin decorations to it. i want to redo my kitchen but its going to take a while (like 3 to 5 years wait) to get what i want cause it means saving a ton of money for it. what does your new cabinets look like Vyper? got any pics of the new ones that are to replace the old?

That's a lot of work but you're going to love the new ones once they're up and done with. Pics would be very cool Vyper.

When they go in I'll take pics, possibly before, during install and after. My cousin who has seen them says they are very nice.

My uncle, whose making them for me, he's a professional cabinet maker, says I'll hate my uppers when he's done. He's probably right but thats another 3-4 years before that'll happen. :P I have unique upper cabinets in that they are 57" high. That is a custom height. You can't buy those premade anywhere. Its what I get for having 9ft ceilings.

That must be nice to have a family member who makes stuff like that. I would hate to price new cabinets for the house. I don't need a lot but it seems that home items are always very expensive now a days.
