I hope I can ask this here, but what's the best way to get more money? Do I just kill monsters and get gold that way or is there other ways that give bigger payouts?

Also, is there a maximum amount of money you can carry? I keep seeing storage that asks me to make a deposit - not sure why I would need it?

selling stuff from your inventory and weaponry. not sure about max money to carry

No limit on the money I believe. I'm sure the reason for putting money in storage is so you can save up for a guild house. I find the best way to get money is just run all the quests you can find, even the little 250xp ones. You'll be picking up so much stuff to sell when you get back it won't be funny. What lvl/char are you and are you pre or post sear Beo?

The other reason to put money into storage is to be able to transfer it between your characters. Nothing like having one character who has all the cash and needing gear for another whose dead broke. LOL

And if she's got a storage box she's post sear Mozzy. :) Also besides selling gear you don't need you can sell things to other characters. Find out what the merchs will charge you for it, like runes, and undercut the price a lil bit and you may find that you can make more money that way then actually selling it to the merchs.

also, and feel free to tell me to fuck off if you guys dont want to play with me but what vent do you guys use or do you use vent and if so can i hop on and play every now and then? i have a level 15 and like a level 9 and while the people i play with are awesome they are more concerned about advancing through the game and leveling really fast and are hardcore experienced mmorpgers while i am a lowly newb. while that is awesome and i get a crapload of experience when i play with them i sometimes like to go a little slower and just go through the missions even if they are for only like 500 xp. from the sound of it this is kind of how you guys are playing. i know that bleuballz said when he plays he likes to do everything which im learning is how i like to do it too. like im way across the map now but i still have stuff from the beginning of the game i want to do.

I've played with Kancer and with GRAAA and I've seen Regulator playing but never ran into him.

We're currently in Fort Worth area building and patching servers. We'll be in Wichita Falls on Thursday or Friday doing the same thing. You sound like you play like I do. I do every little quest I can lay my hands on. I'm currently at lvl 12 with two minor quests left and then I need to move onto the snow and ice regions of the game. I won't be back until 6/28 but I could use your help on some of the other quests.

Artis. You're right. We are more laid back and are doing every little quest we can get our paws on. I know two ways around the Flame Corridor area now and I generally don't mind helping folks out. I have a 14th lvl R/Mo whose my highest lvl character partly because I've helped newbs out and get no exp for it.

My last trip through was with a some guys almost my lvl but god they played badly. Couldn't call out a target to save our ass and the War just would run ahead, attract all kinds of baddies that would run smack into the rest of us and got me killed several times. I'd really rather play with some responsible peeps. I've got you on my friends list and will add Beo as well. I'm going to go online shortly and see if I can't hook up with some peeps. I'll put xfire on so you can pm me.

I maybe working in PS though so don't quote me but I will give you the vent info via xfire.

Hey, I was wondering about this because I've seen this happen.

So the right thing to do would be to call out a target and attack it so the other people in your group can focus on other targets?

[Vyper]

No, the reason you call a target is so that everyone can attack your target and take them down faster. If I call out a target and you hit T your character will automatically attack the guy I called out. When you've got 5 of the same guys it might not matter except that they'll drop faster than everyone taking on individual guys.

When it comes to taking out Monk/Mesmer/Necro types it becomes more important because the faster you take them out the shorter the amount of time the warriors will have buffs and the faster they'll fall. Which is why the Charr and other baddies will almost always go for the Monks and mages first.

I mean how many times have you seen parties die because they didn't take out the Charr Shaman/Shiverpeak Protectors or Charr Overseers first and no matter how much damage you did to the Blades or whatever they never dropped? If the Shamans are taken down first all the damage you do to the Charr warriors counts instead of being negated. :P

Sometimes figuring out what enemies are what can be a problem but I've posted which Charr are which in the Hints thread.

That's why I always attack the best one in the group with my warrior character. Most of time I can get 3 or more of them to attack me instead of the group. But then again you need some very trusting people behind you for this to work as well.
