I forgot whom I was telling this to down in Dallas, but I described having your ass "hang out in the breeze" pretty much when you take a piss at an outdoor bar in The Netherlands. The town I was in had one in the centrum and they're shaped like a plus (+) and have a pisser in each corner. If you have stage fright or are a germ-o-phobe, you woun't like these as there isn't a place to be modest or to wash your hands after. The whole thing is hollow and it eventually fills up with your rented beer.
Anywho, I frequent Engadget (http://www.engadget.com/) to get my fix of new electronic gear and other gizmos and gadgets. Today they had a story about the P-Mate (http://www.gizmag.com/go/2872/) being sold in Australia to allow women to take a leak while standing. This isn't big news as the Lady J (http://www.acespilotshop.com/pilot-supplies/safety/lady-j.htm) has been sold for years now, but it isn't disposable, which means you have to wash it. The P-Mate on the other hand, is disposable which lets women take leaks at the public urinals I described up above.
Here's your typical outdoor urinal in Europe:

In use by males:

Women get a privacy door of sorts:

These urinals are used at festivals...less waiting than if they had port-a-pottys.

The P-Mate box shot of the women's stance cracks me up...lol. Notice the small orange logo on the urinal in the pic of the women above is the same as on the P-Mate box. I guess that set of urinals is "P-Mate approved" or something. Strong enough for a man...but made for a woman. ;)
