i was cleaning around the house and decided to add my desk into the mix. here is a pic of my rig.

second pic was of my old tower. as you can see there is a huge difference in size and the fact that K has ransacked a few things off my old one. he took my dvd player and he is itching to get a hold of the hard drive off it too now. im thinking of having a friend fix the older one for dj to use. but i think my mom is talking to one of my sisters to get him a dell for his 7th bday/xmas present.

Hmm...could take pic of pc and monitor but I think you'd come to my house to steal the monitor. ;) :D

CDSaint

lol. actually the 15 inch monitor isnt so bad on the eyes anymore, but it sure was hellish to play 2k4 on it. hard to see things. i think i was missing out a lot out of the corner so i mostly stayed straight through aside from not knowing how to duck and dodge in game.

oh and if you lived close enough i just might ;) but as it is im in no mood to get into a plane just to take what is yours, did i mention that i am afraid of heights? i hate flying. i think big metal things that go airborne is freakish.

CDSaint

i can deal with the 15" monitor. K is getting a new monitor out of what is left of the loan. he has bigger ideas, whereas i just want to stick with what i currently have

Is that the PC you got from Stuffy? You wasn't kidding about it being big. Does it heat the house in winter? :D

CDSaint
07-30-2005, 08:42 AM
lol, yes and we have yet to find out mozzy! ;)

CDSaint
07-30-2005, 08:45 AM
oh and it weighs like 65 lbs...that is what it said in the box when it was shipped in the mail. lol the poor mailman. just so happens my best friend sent me something as well and both came in at the same time. the tower was practically being dragged less than an inch off the ground cause he had another box he had to carry on his other hand along with that day's mail. hehehe

You don't have any cats do you? If that thing tips over it's going to hurt someone. http://www.bildschirmarbeiter.com/images/krank.gif

no pets allowed in this house. its so heavy in fact that just the other day i noticed that its farther out of the slot its in. i guess its starting to slide cause its so heavy. i had to ask K to move it back further again so that it doesnt tip over. i cant move that damn thing, that's for sure! lol i think he now has a hernia after moving it. i like your monitor moppy. we took a look at monitors today at wally world and that same one 20" flat monitor is 298.97 there. K says i should get it and then instead of him getting a monitor he would rather have one of those huge tv's from there that cost 1008. i shot down both his ideas of course. im not buying a monitor til this little sucker dies a pitiful death. in the meantime im keeping any money i have in the bank. im a cheapo after all!

So this thread is titled the Behemoth - I thought I would be all cocky and come in, but then I realized I forgot my magnifying glass. How embarassing.

LOL Your computer is so big it's creating it's own gravitational field. I want a flat screen but they're still expensive for me. Plus I want a gaming version that does a great job on the graphics. http://www.todojuegos.com/modules/Forums/images/smiles/ham_sniff.gif

CDSaint

298 isnt so bad for that 20" inch flat screen at wally world. although id love to pay for that kind of monitor for the same amount as my first monitor which was 119 for a 17" monitor. the 15" monitor i use now was free courtesy of the navy chiefs not opening boxes in storage. :)

Mozartt

I have a 19" right now so I'm planning to order a 21" CRT or else wait until they have a very nice price on a flat screen. I'm currently upgrading my guitar equipment at home so that's where the money is going right now. http://www.nordinho.com/vbull/images/smilies/guitarist.gif

Okay I'll take a pic of the rig and monitor. LOL My desk is wreck though. Unlike Mops neatness. I suppose I should take all the dishes upstairs atleast.

Mozartt
07-31-2005, 06:17 PM
Why move the dishes, doesn't everyone eat in the front of the computer??? http://img22.echo.cx/img22/6094/klopa9ji.gif

since my pc table is so close to the dinner table and there really isnt room for all of us to eat there as a family, i do sometimes eat at my desk. so i can still keep a close eye on the kids, making sure they are eating their dinner. but sometimes i let the kids eat first then i eat my dinner in the livingroom while i watch tv. K usually pisses me off cause he cant get off the pc to have dinner with us so sometimes i just dont bother serving him up a plate. :P

I don't see how K can play so much on the computer. It drives me nutts when I spend that much time online. There are days when I spend at least 16 hours on a computer and I don't want to boot my home computer.

Vyper
08-01-2005, 11:00 AM
Amen brotha! I was like that when I did support. I couldn't stand my pc when I got home. Even so, while I may play on my pc alot I don't, and even eat in front of it on occasion my hubby and I will eat together since our pc's are next to each other. :P

Desk and pc.

LOL A giant mousepad and the GW card setting in front of the monitor. You rock girl!!!! Plus I'm guessing that clock don't work during your GW time, because you'll stay up all night playing. :D

CDSaint
08-01-2005, 11:45 AM

Vyper

I think its a MS default install background. Can't blame Mozzy too much. I mean who was the freak that added it to the windows install? :bugged:

Mozartt
08-01-2005, 09:48 PM
Yes, I downloaded it from Microsoft so I believe Bill Gates has the issue with the sheep!!! http://www.publispain.com/webmaster/gifani/perro3t.gif

CDSaint

so you just condone beastiality...i see. :gag:

Vyper
08-01-2005, 10:13 PM
You went there, he didn't. So I think the person with the issues here isn't Moz. :P

CDSaint
08-02-2005, 12:13 AM
of course mozzy doesnt have a problem with it! he clearly likes the sheep in his monitor!

Mozartt
08-02-2005, 07:40 AM
I believe sheep need a union, they never get any respect. Except in New Zealand!!!

Freako
08-02-2005, 08:10 AM
In NZ the sheep need a pimp more than a union, anyway.

ahh New Zealand... Where the men are men and the sheep are nervous.

Mozartt
08-02-2005, 12:11 PM
Are you sure you're not from Australia? Because they have a lot of jokes about New Zealand and Sheep!!!! I guess that's what happens when you have 1 million people and 7 million sheep.

Freako
08-02-2005, 01:04 PM
Q:What do you call a New Zealander with a sheep under each arm?
A: Polygamous.

Freako
08-02-2005, 01:05 PM
Q: What do you call a New Zealander with a sheep under one arm and a goat under the other?
A: Bisexual

Freako
08-02-2005, 01:08 PM
Q: What's a dyslexic-agnostic-insomniac?
A: A person who stays awake at night, wondering if there's a dog.

Don't know what it has to do with NZ, but I like it anyway...

CDSaint
08-03-2005, 01:18 AM
im not dyslexic. two out of three aint bad though

Freako
08-03-2005, 05:56 AM
haha!
Finally found someone who has as much trouble sleeping as I do!
WOOHOO!!!
Now we can be miserable together!
Unfortunately for you, though, this week has been pretty good.
But fear not, I have a graveyard shift starting Friday morning, that'll screw me up pretty good.

Any other code monkeys out there work graveyard shifts or is that JUST at my company?
I never met anyone else in software that did...
Makes me feel special...
(in that "special olympics" sort of way)

Mozartt
08-03-2005, 07:30 AM
Sorry Freako can't help you. I tried to be a code monkey but they won't let me out of the server group. Those bastards!!!! I normally have 8 - 5 hours unless there's a project that needs completing and can only done at night. LOL Got one of those next week.
