Bret Hart and Vince McMahon met after the 4/19 Raw in Calgary. Bret Hart agreed to let WWE film Chris Benoit in the Dungeon at the Hart family home (which is being sold) with the condition that they not shoot anything of him. It is unknown when exactly this footage will air but it will be the last footage of any wrestler in the Dungeon.

As for the meeting between Bret Hart and Vince McMahon, it was friendly and the main topic of conversation was a potential Bret Hart DVD with footage of his best matches and Bret appearing to talk about his career. Shane McMahon has said that he personally wants to oversee the project should it materialize.

Vince McMahon also asked Bret again if he’d be willing to appear on WWE TV. As reported before, Hart has always been against coming back to WWE for storyline purposes so Vince suggested that they try to make it a “spontaneous” thing instead of written out in a storyline sense but he didn’t propose any ideas for how this could happen.

The latest word on the Bret Hart to WWE situation is that many backstage are expecting a deal to be reached between Bret and WWE by the end of the year.

Sources claim that Bret Hart has requested two things before agreeing to a deal with WWE. Firstly, he wants rights to his footage for home videos. He also is now interested in returning in some sort of storyline where he saves face by getting some sort of one-up over HBK or Vince McMahon, before saying goodbye (properly) to his legion of WWE fans.

Originally, Bret was completely against a storyline return, but now it seems that he might be interested in doing something to finally conclude the fallout from the 1997 Montreal Screwjob. He would still likely make his farewell speech.

To follow up on the Bret Hart and Vince McMahon meeting that took place after Raw in Calgary on April 19, the main issue discussed was WWE’s upcoming DVD set on Bret Hart’s career. It is becoming more likely that Hart will appear on WWE TV before the year ends. If Hart was to get involved in an angle, it will be one that will allow him to get revenge against Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels for the 1997 incident in Montreal.

This is not 100% confirmed at the moment, but Bret Hart is looking to do a childrens play "Aladdin" in November and December of this year in Toronto.

It will be more of a personal challenge for Hart to see if he can handle the pressure and remember the lines of the play. As mentioned in an earlier post, Bret has made a tremendous recovery though a serious stroke such as the one he suffered still leaves behind devastating affects.

Hart was also expected to film a piece on 5/19 for the Discovery Channel on the physical punishment involved in being a professional wrestler.

Reports are stating that Bret Hart will most likely host the DVD that will be coming out about him. There is also still a lot of feeling that he will appear on WWE TV by the end of the year for a one-shot deal to say goodbye and/or get revenge on Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels.

Bret Hart is a sellout. I can't believe he came back to the WWE. What a pussy!
